For a couple preparing for retirement, we designed and installed a functional yet beautiful landscape that would serve as the perfect venue for family gatherings and entertaining. With a high deer population in the area, we carefully selected deer-resistant plants while integrating both natural elements and hardscaping, including durable paver products.
The design features two distinct spaces: the front facade facing the street and the backyard with a swimming pool and elevated gardens, offering a surprising shift in styles. As the plants mature, they’ll create a legacy that will continue to thrive for generations to come, setting the stage for memorable moments like grandkids' visits, graduations, and weddings. This thoughtful design anticipates future family milestones while ensuring beauty and practicality for years to come.

Creating a Stylish and Functional Entertainment Space for Family Gatherings
For a family with teenage children, we transformed an outdated landscape into a vibrant outdoor entertainment area. The project focused on replacing a deck with a functional patio, incorporating both upper and lower seating areas, and adding a natural stone retaining wall to enhance the country-style aesthetic.
During the renovation, the homeowners decided to add stairs, prompting a creative revision of the design to introduce a second level of retaining walls. Despite the challenge, we were excited to take on this adjustment and deliver a more functional layout.
Now, the family regularly uses the space for dining, gatherings, and special occasions like graduations. The newly designed patio has become the perfect venue for entertaining, fulfilling both aesthetic and practical needs.
